There are a couple of things we have different thoughts about however. I believe that when she borrowed the shovel, she buried Caylee in a shallow grave in the backyard (hence the cadaver dogs) and actually was looking for another place to bury her.(hence, the pings). I think she found her place(maybe the airport) and waited for her moment to retrieve the body. However, not realizing what even a small amount of time will do to a body, she took the child from the shallow grave and put her in the trunk of the car to take her to the designated burial site,only to realize very quickly that she wouldn't be going that far with the smell that was already filling the car. So she looks over at the site which she knew so well as a child and hurridly got rid of the bag in that spot. She never got the chance to return to that place to once again move the child. This being the reason for her saying over and over "I believe she is close to home" because everyone knows how she lies,and she feels that everyone will take that as anothe lie and not bother to look.
