An emergency hearing will be held today at 2pm. Casey’s defense team seems to think they are really special and that the usual rules don’t apply. The judge already told them they don’t get access to the remains until they are identified. They filed a motion to preserve forensic evidence, a request for a second autopsy and an emergency motion to compel.
WFTV legal analyst William Sheaffer called the motions “ludicrous.” Sheaffer said it was unheard of for a defense team to ask to be part of a murder investigation.
The hearing lasted less than 30 minutes– DENIED!! Jose did NOT do himself or his case any favors- does he just want to be on TV? Why doesn’t he prepare a cogent argument in advance? Does he not realize he sounds like a moron? And/or a whiny little b!tch?
Baez is SUCH a buffoon, I sometimes find myself feeling a tiny, tiny bit of sympathy for Casey pinning her hopes on a lawyer who seems just as whacked out as she is.
If this case didn’t involve the murder of an innocent baby, the whole thing would be truly hilarious considering all the ridiculous characters involved.
I must say I was impressed with Judge Strickland’s patience and his comment regarding not helping Baez’s team interfere with the investigation.

I say let him continue to look like a moron, just don’t waste the court’s time doing it!!
Maybe it’s for KC’s benefit, she will believe he is really working on the case,and everyone is against them,but he is trying!!
He should know the law(you would think) and should know these sort of requests will be denied,the defense has no rights to the crime scene until the investigation is finished. He makes it look like this case is some how special and should be given special treatment.
It also keeps his mug in front of the cameras,and now that (G&C) are not out there creating media madness, someone has to do it!!
Bozo said all he wants is to make sure Casey gets a fair trial. He don’t want her to have a fair trial, he wants her to walk. If she gets a fair trial , she gets the needle!!
As angry as i have seen some of thsoe protesters, doe s he really think she would be safe out in the public ? She would be confined at home , but then Cindy might go off again and really choke her. What a sad bunch, poor Caylee, i can imagine how scared she must havebeen during some of those heated arguments . I like Judge Strickland, he seems to go by the book. I alos liked it when he said he would not help him interfere with a mureder investigation. Casey has the perfect laywer, he is just as messed up as she is. Wonder if she is still being sedated ?

The only reason the defense wants to be part of the investigation is to find ways to discredit the investigation. They will have that opportunity at trial!
George and Cindy seek immunity in exchange for clearing up conflicting statements. Has the realization that Casey left their grand daughter in the woods to be eaten by animals struck a chord? Do they finally realize who the bad guy is?
Didn’t Casey claim to have talked to Zanny and Caylee on the phone ( which was disconnected that day) early in the police investigation?
When all the lies catch up to her, maybr she’ll do the right thing and admit guilt.
