Timeline update- what happened to Caylee while in the “care” of Casey Anthony and Zanny (Xanax) the nanny.

08 Aug

So here’s another timeline for what MIGHT have happened to Caylee.

6/15 – Casey and parents not getting along- Father’s Day wkd- Casey feeling extra familial pressure, fights w/mom and decides to punish her by taking Caylee and staying elsewhere.

6/16– around 1pm Caylee is last seen by Gpa leaving w/Casey- both have backpacks and Casey says –going to wk, we’ll be home very late if at all.  (Gpa leaves for work.)

·      Casey comes back over when parents are at work (sometime after 2:30pm) retrieves Xanax from stash (does anyone in home have prescription?)

·      Casey drugs the child as she’s done before but this time gives her too much and Caylee throws up/has seizures/get violently ill?

·      3pm -Casey panics and makes flurry of phone calls trying to call mom and dad at various numbers each 6 times along w/2 calls to unknown?

·      Can’t get in touch with anyone, doesn’t get proper help and Caylee stops breathing.

·      I think she wrapped Caylee up in trash bags and thought up several escapes…maybe she put the ladder back up – thinking I’ll put her in the water and say that’s what happened- but did she throw up all of the drugs?  Bad idea…maybe she took her outside (dogs hitting) briefly before deciding against bkyd burial and puts her in the trunk.

·      6pm another flurry of calls to the same people- she’s in full on freak out but maybe tries again here to do the right thing in her mind (obviously the right thing would have been 911).

She completely rationalizes it -oops accident- they really should have answered my calls!  This allows her to compartmentalize and not blame herself- she just needs to get rid of the problem. She begins to spin elaborate story to explain Caylee’s disappearance.  Casey will want to put as much time as possible between now and discovery of crime.  Her parents can be kept at bay by aggravation/I need my independence story- they are used to her using this child as a pawn.

6/17– Lots of revision here bc they found the real Zenaida and interviewed her here

I still think that she created the identity of Zanny the nanny -a recurring character that Casey invented when she drugged the child -giving her Xanax and saying she’s with Zanny the nanny so she could go out and party (leaving child in the trunk?).  People often give their drug of choice a “name” so they can talk about it safely- I’ve been told now that Zanny IS the street name for Xanax in Orlando (probably elsewhere too).

So how did she get poor ZG wrapped up in this?  Maybe Casey was there that day (ZG says others were there) and saw her info.

Casey had from 6/16 to 7/15 to spin her elaborate tales.

If she had been telling her mom fairly frequently (to punish her)- No I won’t leave Caylee w/you- she’s fine I’m taking her to Zanny the nanny…maybe she thought- OK, that’s what I’ll say happened.  They know about Zanny the nanny, so I will just create an actual name and a backstory and say that’s who took her.  Maybe Casey’s MO was to get access to empty apts – a “child proof” place to leave sleeping child who’s been drugged.

If Casey had a habit of viewing an apt, leaving an open window and sneaking back in, then she was looking at a lot of apts – as was Zenaida.  So maybe Casey saw her name on the sign in sheet and found her target.  Or maybe she found her name on another apt sign in sheet- weren’t she and Amy looking for an apt?  Maybe she created the identity of Zenaida Gonzales a long time ago – to placate Cindy bc I can’t imagine Gma wouldn’t have wanted details about who’s watching precious Caylee.

 I’m not saying she’s a good liar – I’m just saying she’s a prolific (pathological) liar.

6/18– Casey goes home, backing into the driveway and borrows the neighbors shovel.

·      She thinks again about burying the child (under the playhouse?) but digging is tough and/or she’s worried about parents coming home, or she just changes her mind.

·      Another flurry of phone calls- we’re not sure if these were answered- was she trying to find the parent’s whereabouts and make sure they’re not coming home?

·      Maybe she was trying to enlist a friend to help?  Trying to figure out an alternative place for the body.

Was Plan B (or C or D) to dispose of Caylee where she wouldn’t be found- perhaps in the water and then leave her car somewhere w/purse in it and torch it? Hoping people would assume they both died and Casey could disappear with the money she’d been stealing?

Which leads us to the gas cans.  If someone runs out of gas why would they take both gas cans?  One is enough to get gas until you can get to a gas station.

6/22  The last date Gpa is sure he saw the gas cans in the shed.

6/24  Gpa calls the police and files report in the AM.

(Casey has been known to steal gas in the past).

·      Casey comes home (not sure of the timing)- was she surprised to find her dad there?

·      Gpa talks to Casey “Have you talked to your mom?”  Casey says, “yes everyday,”  Gpa further inquires… “but did you talk to her today?”  She says yes- also says Caylee is with Zanny the nanny.

This visit is a bit confusing bc I’m not sure why she was there?  Maybe to sneak the gas cans back?  Torch plan averted?  I think Casey had been “in hiding” prior to and even after this. (In the 911 call Cindy says- my daughter has been missing for a month- I found her but I can’t find my granddaughter.)

·      Gpa asks Casey for her keys to get something out of her trunk- she goes out of her way to try to stop him- he goes ahead anyway and…he finds the gas cans.

·      What about the decomposition smell then?  Maybe the gas smell was covering it up at the time?

Gparents later get really angry when people keep bringing up the gas cans- saying that’s irrelevant- Casey had a broken gas gauge- she needed gas.

6/27  Casey abandons car at Amscot Check Cashing pkg lot- calls BF Tony to come and pick her up- tells him she called her parents and that her dad will take care of the car.

·      She leaves her purse on the seat- hoping car would be stolen?

6/30  Amscot has Casey’s abandoned car towed.

7/3  Cindy despairs- writing on her myspace page of her frustration at not seeing Caylee- blaming daughter’s betrayal and jealousy.  Here’s the post:

my caylee is missing

She came into my life unexspectedly, just as she has left me. This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

So clearly she is very worried.  I think Casey may have been talking to her but still stalling, saying- let me have my independence.

7/11 or 7/14  Parents receive notice that car had been impounded.

7/15  Casey picks Amy up from the airport, Amy discovers the theft (Casey stole checks –about $700) and drops Casey off at Tony’s.

·      Parents pick the car up- find phone number for Amy- Cindy calls her asking where is Casey?

·      Finally she crosses someone who doesn’t let her get away w/it – Amy tells her mom about stolen money and where to locate Casey.

·      Cindy has been kept away from Caylee for a month and she’s had enough- she picks up Casey at Tony’s and takes her to a police station trying to find Caylee.

·      Cindy wants to charge her w/theft of cash and car- calls 911.  –first call

-Casey still tries to delay- telling her mom- she’s w/the sitter I’ll take you to her in the morning.  Casey and Cindy can be overheard during the call transfer – Casey says- give me one more day- Cindy says no- I’ve given you a month.  –second

Casey finally breaks down to her brother and says- Caylee’s been taken- I haven’t seen her in a month. The 911 call once Cindy has learned -this is heartbreaking!  –third (frantic call)

Cindy is distraught- operater asks for Caley and she is soo calm.  She takes a deep breath and tries to keep spinning and stick to her story.  Cops are there questioning Casey and other until the wee morning hours.

·      At some point Gpa takes them aside and says I think Casey’s hiding something and I’m worried about Caylee.

6/16  Police take her to Universal- where she (falsely) claimed to be working for the past 2 years.  She leads them around –walking purposefully towards her supposed office, they said- until finally stopping and admitting she doesn’t work there.  Whoa!

–Casey is arrested.  I think police have filed just enough charges to keep her off the streets and hope she will crack.

Gma doesn’t visit Casey -saying I don’t want to jeaopardize Caylee’s safety bc the calls are released to the public.  Maybe Casey told her attorney not to let family come for visit bc things they say could be “dangerous” – bc its getting harder to lie to parents.

You can hear in Cindy’s reassurances- Casey has made her a promise and she NEEDS to believe its true.  She keeps saying  -I believe Caylee is still alive bc there’s no way Casey would put us through this.

I’m sorry but I think she would, and that she is putting everyone through this charade.

8/5–  Search warrant filed for George and Cindy Anthony’s house- link below.

8/8  She refused a visit from her brother this morning.

What does that mean?  I hope it means she can’t face him and that she’s ready to crack.  Maybe she’s just punishing them though.  The family has seemed to really step up cooperation w/the police lately- the CSI has been in and out of their home quite a bit recently.

I wonder if the police have dropped some hints about what they know-  I hope they know a great deal more than we do.

I really feel for the Gparents -I think the cold hard truth is starting to dawn on them.  George snapped this afternoon and let some crazy out on the press scrum gathered in their front yard.

Here’s some really interesting reading:

Casey Anthony arrest affadavit:

Casey Anthony search warrant:

So that’s the way I see it.  I certainly wish I could see it another way.  I don’t see the drowning theory as the most plausible bc I’m not sure  Casey would have even taken the time to get involved w/the pool- she was just sneaking back there- I don’t think she wanted her parents to know she’d been there.  She had just left, telling her dad she was going to work.

I completely agree with you. I have thought that “Zanny” meant xanax for a while. People call Xanax “Zanny bars” for slang. I picture each time that Casey tells her mom that Caylee is with “Zanny” that she has drugged Caylee so she is napping and easier for the young mother to handle. At the same time she gets some sick satisfaction knowing that she is using the street name for Xanax; thinking how smart she is, and how dumb her Mom and ex-cop Dad are. Casey completely resents Caylee. She hates that Caylee has taken away her time to be young, and she hates that her parents and brother seem to care more about Caylee than her. She has been drugging the child for some time and has thought ahead if anyone asks the “nanny’s” full name that it will be a hispanic lady named Zenaida. She then picks the two most generic hispanic last names, and hyphanates them. Hence “Fernandez-Gonzales” When we drop our children off somewhere to be watched, we don’t refer to them as a “nanny.” That is more commonly referred to as a sitter. A “nanny” lives with a family in the family home. I think also that she gave Caylee too much and the child died, or would not wake up. Either way, Casey can’t call for help at this point. She knows that nobody will ever forgive her or trust her again. She makes a decision to hide the little girl’s remains.

If we read the search warrant, each person they cannot find has a memorable name.

Juliette Lewis: actress best known for her role in the movie “Natural Born Killers” I personally have never met anyone that went by the full name Juliette. Julie, but not Juliette

Raquel Farrell: Does this name rhyme? She may also pronounce it how Will Farrell says his last name to not be so obvious. Either way “Raquel Farrell” is “Zanny the Nanny’s” roommate

Tom Manley: I think this Universal Studio lie has been going on forever. Casey has probably called Universal to find out the event coordinator’s first name (his name is actually Tom Mattson) in case her parents ever called to make sure she really did work there. Casey forgets his last name when she puts on her charade for the police and says it is “Manley.” This is a hybrid of the word “man” and her brother’s name “Lee.” It is also close to Zanny. Also the email that Lee forwards to the police says the event coordinator is named Thomas Franck. Again she knows the Universal Event Coordinators name is Tom.

Caylee’s name is a hybrid of “Casey” and her brother’s name “Lee.” I think Casey makes names for things and people that do not exist that she will remember because she is such a pathological liar. This is habit to her.

I feel so sad for this poor little girl

Jenn- 000h I like your theory about the names- that sounds completely feasible. She has got a lot of fictional friends to keep track of!

I agree too about resenting Caylee- she does NOT like to have the focus pulled from her! In that first phone call from jail – she wails from jail that “they just want Caylee back that’s all anyone cares about is Caylee….(then she realizes she should care too)…and I do too, that’ s all I care about.

Thanks for commenting- I wish this case would be resolved and Caylee would come home!

Hey, Kim. I liked your annotated timeline. All sorts of scenarios and motives come to mind. Drugs involved? Violence, too. Did Caylee have had a tantrum in her carseat–past naptime, between 1 and 3pm– got squeezed, choked, or shaken? When she shovel-lifted the body, dead since 6/16,from trunk (not gonna touch it) to bury under playhouse, she left the ‘odor’ on the ground and shovel. Burning is better. Q’s: what about 40k stolen from mom; Zenaida’s myspace page suggests going to IconZ (met casey there?) and did Anthony’s really pour concrete on July 4 weekend? I am sick, but diligently working this case. Many thanks for the search warrant. Ver-ry interesting, dahling.

Hey Robin- thanks for your comments- good points! The shovel scenario (unfortunately, sounds probable) – I will have to look into the $40K bc I was under the impression that it was only around $4-5ooo- the info here is scarce.

-I didn’t even know of a Zenaida w/a myspace- pls share!!

The Anthony’s didn’t poor concrete it was just concrete pavers.

Hope you feel better! I will probably be sick soon – I can barely sleep lately. Obsess much?

That’s great thinking on the way the fictional names were invented. One more idea is that maybe the name Tom Franck came to mind when Tom’s real last name, Matson was forgotten because Franck was the name of the fictional “event planner” in Father of the Bride & later the name of a place at Disney land to plan weddings & other grand events. I don’t think that Franck had the c in it in the movie but it’d be a way to get to be pronounced like it was in the movie instead of ordinary Frank.

    Just a Thought, Stef

I am a medical doctor and have some doubts about the Xanax theory. I would think that the grandparents would notice if the child had been habitually drugged. Xanax has a duration of action of approximately six hours in adults. I’m not sure what dose she is using but I would imagine that a toddler would sleep for long periods of time and would when awakened, would appear to be drugged (i.e. lethargic, slurred speech). Plus, after Casey left the grandparents house, where would the sleeping child be placed? I doubt her coming to and from an empty apartment over a long period of time would go unnoticed. And the trunk of the car as a place to keep the drugged child is pretty wacky.

Has there really been a “nanny” for two years or is the family covering for her again? If there has, why is that? She is unemployed and lives with two retired parents. Correct? Why would the grandparents even allow her to go with a sitter if they are both at home? Is it possible that the idea of a sitter only came into the picture after her departure on June 16th?

I think death by drowning is the best thought. Especially, with the pool ladder being found in place and how much Caylee loved to swim. I just don’t think there is enough evidence to support the drugging theory. The dogs picked up the scent of decomposition in the back yard. I’m thinking that human flesh takes several hours before decomposition begins to take place. If she had placed a newly deceased toddler (just died from overdose) on the ground, I fairly sure the body would not yet have a decomposing scent. If the body was left there for several hours, or if the body was taken away and later laid down in the back yard for a short time, I think it would leave the scent.

So what did she do with the body the day Caylee died? If Caylee died on June 16th at the parents house (flurry of unanswered phone calls) then I think that she would have hid the baby in the backyard or put the baby in the car. How the scent of decomposition got in the backyard can be explained by (1) Casey coming back to the parents house, borrowing the shovel, thinking to bury her (makes little sense that she would choose the parent’s backyard to dispose of the body) and then changing her mind OR (2) Casey hiding the body in the backyard, coming back when the parent are gone, loading it into the trunk of her car with the shovel, and disposing of the body elsewhere.

Theory (2) makes the most sense I just can’t figure how the parents didn’t discover the body or the scent in their own backyard.

Hi Matt- good point. I was actually just wondering about that today- how long the drug would have taken her out of commission? People on websleuthers were saying they’ve had it prescribed for their dogs so maybe she usually have her just a small “doggy” dose?

Casey was setting her own schedule so it seems she could just wait to bring Casey by until she was coherent each time and presentable. I’m still not convinced it wasn’t Xanax or something similar and not the drowning and here’s why…

I really don’t think drugging the child was a constant (or even frequent) thing bc her parents were usually so willing and eager to babysit Caylee. I think she did it when she just really wanted to stay out w/friends AND -bonus- punish Cindy and George.

I actually tend to doubt she would leave her in the trunk sleeping/drugged either. Others mentioned that and I threw it in there but I don’t think -even she was quite that dumb. If she woke up in the trunk she would totally freak out and could possibly injure herself. I just don’t see that as a good option in Casey’s mind. I also think Casey loved Caylee (in her own way) but she was getting more and more inconvenient as she became more verbal- able to tattle.

I think Casey usually just took Caylee along w/her to whichever apt she was crashing at and left her there. Someone that went through many of the photobucket pics w/the main characters wrote that they’d seen pictures of Caylee at a house where people were clearly partying and laying about.

Maybe the new boyfriend was starting to resent having a little one around and that prompted the need for Casey to find a new place to leave her w/Zanny the nanny– just elsewhere.

Cindy mentioned in Greta intv that Casey had spoken about a friend named Zanny for several years and that she has known of her as a caregiver for Caylee for about 1.5 years. I think maybe Casey would use Zanny when she just had to get away –maybe after a fight w/folks– saying- Casey’s mine- you’ve got to let me take care of her sometimes- BACK OFF!

I can’t imagine Cindy under any other circumstances (even those actually) not wanting to have a better idea about just who exactly is caring for precious Caylee.

Caylee had just gone swimming the night before w/Gma. I just don’t buy that Casey snuck back into her parent’s house to spend the afternoon in the pool w/Caylee. She had just left earlier telling George she was off to wk and Caylee to the nanny- we will be home very late if at all she told him.

Who knows what scenarios Casey ran through to try and hide the problem in the backyard?? I agree w/you I don’t think she would seriously consider leaving Caylee there.

I think she was panicked and could not make up her mind. Maybe after OD she took her outside, put ladder there and thought about saying- oops drowned- washed vomit off –but then worried about autopsy finding drugs so decided that the pool was not the best theory.

I think Caylee might have gone in the trunk that day- 6/16 and by the 18th it started to smell so Casey backs into the driveway planning to get gas cans or shovel from her home–maybe she sees neighbor doing yard work- spontaneously asks to borrows the shovel and then changes her mind again -she might have taken the child back there and tried to dig a bit but then decided it was tough going and also colossally stupid -returns shovel quickly bc that would be way too suspicious to drive away w/it…

So, she goes on to concoct a whole different plan- gas cans, abandoned car etc. I feel like she meant to stage some elaborate story and then disappear– why was she stealing all that money?

I think she meant for that car to be found burned– w/Caylee and Casey missing and tragically car seat and Casey’s purse were found inside. I think she got rudely interrupted when the car was towed, Cindy found Amy’s number and Amy ratted her out. She was THIS CLOSE (in her mind) to getting away w/it. Even when mom shows up she’s asking for one more day- just give me one more day. She just half assed it like everything else, was digging fun new boyfriend, having fun partying w/Amy’s money and car and just didn’t quite get it wrapped up.

But who knows? I’d like to figure out a scenario where Caylee is found alive…like her real father is alive and took her away (to PR?) or its a paternity spat and family took her or Casey loaned Caylee out as a cover for drug mule or if those darn cops would just look up ZG in something other than the FL database!

Honestly I can’t figure out WTH has happened – its just so unbelievably sad!

Your timeline is the most complete of any I have seen online. Thanks for putting it together.

Casey is an obviously poor criminal. Her daughter is missing and there is a smell of decomposition in the car. She abandons the car with her purse in it and has her boyfriend pick her up at the location of the abandoned car. That is the worst management of a crime scene as I’ve ever seen. If she would have simply driven that car into a lake, there would be a lot more reasonable doubt in this case.

With that being said, I can’t assume that she was clever about anything. She was behaving as if the lifestyle of living with her boyfriend and hiding from her grandparents was going to last forever. This makes me think that Casey was no longer rational and Caylee was possibly in the trunk the entire time (died on the 16th, placed in the trunk on the 18th). Car trunks are water-proof which likely makes them scent-proof. And I think George might be lying about forcing her to open the trunk on June 24th. I think he might have made that up to enforce the thought that nothing was ever in the trunk. I think Caylee was back there and she did stop him from going in the trunk.

My question is what Casey was doing during the day when her parents were at work. She left her boyfriend’s house as if she was going to work and then would reappear later in the afternoon. What was she doing with all of that time? And where did she put the body?

One of the places was Jay Blanchard Park.
Definately, “Zanny the Nanny” is xanex. So many times I have heard young mother’s brag (to show how liberal and mature they think they are) of using things to mellow their children. Especially two year olds! Usually it is a little bit of benedril, or cough syrup they use, but more and more young parents are giving their children more dangerous drugs. I have used xanex for myself, and I never could take a full mg., so I would breask just a tiny piece off. People are now giving their dogs small amts. of xanex, especially those who live in areas with frequent thunder storms. The Anthony’s have two dogs, and Orlando has frequent T storms, especially this time of year. (Interesting, Cindy said they have always had two dogs, yet we have only seen one in interviews at their house. someone had said they saw Casey walking their dog. Cindy said, she would’nt just walk one, they had two. When Cindy was asked if Caylee ever talked about the Nanny, Cindy said no, but Caylee talked about the Nanny’s dog.)
excellent timeline. Cindy posted that facebook, or myspace post on July 4th, then on July 7th, Casey posted one saying, “What is given can be taken away, Every one lies. Every one dies.” This seems to me enough to charge her with murder. I really don’t believe that someone who accidently kills their child is going to carry on without any remorse. That is why I feel it was premeditated, and Casey is a psycopath.

Nobody says much about the strange behavior of Cindy and George Anthony. They have told people that they have not asked their daughter what actually happened to Caylee. Cindy said she just tells her that she loves her. This strange behavior is not even denial. At first she said that if they had lost their grandchild, they didn`t want to lose their daughter also. When George Anthony has gone outside to attack the press, his eyes are wild and they glisten like he is on something. There is something wrong with this whole famdamly.Eventually Casey will open her mouth to someone just like O.J. did and the light will shine into this murder.

    Hi Kim!
I think Jac is right … premeditation. Anyway, I think your time line is great, but I do disagree with a few of your ideas. The big question as to why Casey stole the gas cans and then what was she going to use them for, and her perpetual stealing from EVERYONE, parents (I did hear $40,000) grandparents, and friends.

She was unemployed, partying, maybe recreational drug use.?(those things cost money) She also HAD to have money, as everyone thought she was working. She stole $700.00 from Amy, which she most likely spent quickly, very easy to do, especially when you haven’t earned it. (sad) So, as far as the gas goes, I think her stealing the gas cans was pretty benign … she just needed gas for her car, and as much as she could get. (2 cans)

I don’t even want to speculate when she killed Caylee, or to the time line in disposing of her body, but one thing that has occurred to me, is that she couldn’t take the smell of the car any longer, so, she abruptly abandons it! Like some of the other ideas presented here, I really don’t think Casey can be classified as a brillant criminal, but maybe when she was frantic to get out of the car, she composed herself and stopped for a moment and figured she would just leave her purse there and when found she could say car was stolen, etc.?

Also, I am wondering, if anyone has thought if Casey may have even put Caylee in Amy’s car? Maybe her car should be checked for DNA, etc.

One more thing, you say someone in the Anthony family was taking Xanax, not sure who? It has been reported that Cindy was going to divorce George in 2005, ( same year Casey gets pregnant). That medication could be Cindy’s. Whatever her reasons were for wanting to leave her husband, she changes her mind because of new baby, but of course the baby doesn’t magically fix what is wrong and thus she is still very unhappy, not only in her marriage, but also with her ungrateful, psychopath (Cindy’s words)/ daughter. Casey has been lying and stealing for a long time.

Cindy Anthony has been painted as a demon, but I see her as a very sad woman, who has desperately tried to maintain the status quo in her family; but obviously and painfully she hasn’t been able to. Covering up her daughters crimes is not just devastating emotionally, but I’m sure has caused quite a strain on their finances. People can judge, but shouldn’t. Life is hard and can even be dirty sometimes. If you haven’t walked in this poor woman’s shoes, then at least try to have some empathy and sympathy for her. She is only guilty of loving her children, even through the most ugly deeds. I am sure she had hopes that Casey would one day wake up, and be the moral, good woman that Cindy thought she had raised. Yes, we all know Casey is gone. I am sure that Cindy knows this too, but like everything else she hasn’t been able to face in her life, she just cannot accept the finality and the reality of the horror of what has happened to her family. I am starting to get teary … All I can say is that I too, have 2 grown children, about the same age as Casey and Lee. I have not only adored and loved them, but I have actually felt like I was in Love with them at times, especially when they were little Caylee’s age. I am shocked by one of your readers comments that many young women “drug” their children during this phase in a toddlers life … to me life is the most beautiful and happy when a funny, little 2/3/4 year old is around …. What is happening to this generation?

Anyway Kim, thank you for letting me add some of my thoughts as well as vent a little. I would like to just reiterate to others, what you judge of someone could one day be something you have to deal with. Remember, to keep compassion! Oh, and instead of all those idiots sitting outside of the Anthony’s house (the bus load of crazy people from Craig’s List), why don’t they put all that anger into helping with the search for Caylee’s body? It has been reported that usually 1,000 people a day show up to help in other “body” searches, but the citizens of Orlando haven’t stepped up! Today they said only 20 people came. Another disgrace. This community could be more helpful to the Anthony’s by finding little Caylee. Everyone is demanding they face reality, well they can only do this when they can get that final gruesome closure. This is when they will face what is to be sure, a long and unimaginable grieving period. If I lived there, (I am in Boston) instead of typing my thoughts, I would most definitely help. Think about it!

Oops, one more thing … During one of Casey;s calls from jail, she said to her brother, that she thought Caylee was close. “Real close”. I think the police should revisit that backyard. Dig the WHOLE thing up. Psychologists have said that when someone lies, there is often truth in their words. And if not the yard, back to the park.

Even if Casey thought she would get away with this, and she probably did and even still may, as she has never been punished for what amounts to several felonious crimes (forgery, uttering, grand theft, burglary, etc.), I really do think deep down, she loved this little girl, and whatever horrific thing that happened, and even with all of her public composure, she wanted/needed to keep her near … My God, so sad. Thanks again. Keep sleuthing!
Oh, to the reader who asked what Casey did all day, I think besides driving around a lot, (the need for gas) she probably would go and hang out at her parents and use the computer, etc., while they were at work. Just my thoughts.

In response to the idea that the GP’s would have noticed if Caylee had been drugged since she would appear to be drugged (i.e. lethargic, slurred speech). Since this began I have noted that in very few of the photo’s does Caylee seem to be “bright & sassy” as most 2-3 year olds are. I have commented to my husband that the child seemed sad and far away in many/most of the photo’s I have seen. I had chalked it up to children being very in tune and Caylee even at her young having some sense of the lack of “Mothering” from Casey. Now that I have read all of the ideas regarding “Zanny the Nanny” it fits. If true, this may have been going on long enough and the doses progressing so slowly that the GP’s just attributed it to the Caylee’s nature.

i have followed this story since it started. i find grandma and grandpa very nieve and wanting to believe in their daughter so badly they have clouded their vision. this whole thing spells one thing, their daughter killed her child, either by accident or on purpose. either way i believe this child is no longer with us. casey seems to have no consience and don’t seem to have any remorse into the whereabouts of her daughter. i think kim has it right that she seen that zanny’s name on the list of people who looked at this appartment and she thought it would be a good name to use in her lies. i believe casey is a drug addict ,addicted to meth and used the choraform to put this child to sleep so she could party and overdosed he by accident. when she realized what had happened she panicked because she would be convicted of murder, if she told the truth, so she had to make up this ridiculous lie. people on meth only think about the next high and will do anything to get it even put their child to sleep with cloraform. this is a very sad case indeed and i have prayed for this child, she was such a beautiful little girl. i also feel for the grand parents for losing their grandchild so fast. i only wish and pray they could see through the lies their daughter is telling them. these grandparents need to have closer and know the whereabouts of caylee. if their daughter even has any love at alll for them she should tell them so they will be able to move on. leading them on to this lie only is causing them so much greif and money to find caylee it is terrible for casey to do this to them casey tell your parents the truth they are the only ones in the world who will listen. PLEASE!!!!!

I don’t know what happened to Caylee… I don’t know how Casey could live with herself if she had any thing to do with Caylee’s disappearence, but I pray her grand parents find her!

Does anyone know more of this “Brandon” mentioned in Amy’s interview? This guy apparently caused the only display of raw emotion from Casey I know of thus far. Maybe he is Caylee’s biological father, despite Casey claiming it was a miscarriage she was so upset about at the “no clothes party”. Very dramatic performance I hear….

I have seen bits and pieces of this story in magazines but only really read about it today. This is tragic and I hope it will be resolved soon.

As I read this all I can think is how much I love my kids and would never harm them. I love spending time with them and don’t bother with people who wouldn’t like having them around. I can’t even imagine hurting them or doing anything like what probably happened here. I don’t even know what else I can say.

I think that Casey was an escort with a bad drug problem. That would explain her lying about her job and what not.

Everyone seems to feel that there was never a “Nanny” – not necessarily a Zanny the nanny, but any Nanny… what so ever.

So, where was Caylee Anthony on June 13, 2008 late at night?

Timelines (and police documents) show that George and Cindy Anthony stated that NEITHER Casey or Caylee stayed at their home that evening (June 13, 2008).

In police documents and time lines Anthony Lazarro states Casey spent the night June 13, 2008 – after the fusion party. He states baby Caylee did NOT spend the night. This was the first night Casey and Anthony Lazarro spent the night together alone. In his statement, he told investigators that “Caylee was with the NANNY”.

Because of the very popular date and time stamped photo/vedio of little Caylee singing at the nursing home on June 15th, 2008 while visiting her great-grandfather on Father’s Day – we all know she was very much alive on June 13th, 2008…if still alive on June 15th, 2008..

So, if Casey didn’t have a nanny – then who do you suppose was babysitting her (Caylee) the night of June 13th, 2008?

Christine Chester (who claims to be Casey’s best friend) tells investigators that she went for a walk with Casey and Caylee in the park on or around June 12th, 2008 or June 13th, 2008. She does not say anything about babysitting.

Does anyone know who babysat Caylee on June 13th, 2008?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks so much for the summaries, and especially some of your theories and insight. I rarely follow crime stories, but this one is just riveting. I can’t help but follow every detail. Obsessed would be an apropriate word. Let’s unleash the lawyers on this one! Can’t wait for the trial!

I don’t think that Casey could afford any nanny for a long time. Has anyone checked the abandonned house on the same property, where Caylee was found,This property is huge from what I read. What better place to stash Caylee while she was out.
I am sure Casey, had been hiding there many times when she did not go to school. Maybe smoking a joint with friends

Hope they don’t give her a Xanax, making sure she is all eyes opened when she gets her lethal shot….

We have had no information or news about this case in the UK. I have found out about it through a friend in the US. Thanks for all the evidence, and outlay you have collated, I find it very fascinating that she still managed to get off. I have one question… well three… How old is Casey? from the begging of the post, and throughout, you have painted a very clear picture of a minor, or a young girl who seems -at least to an observer- not in charge of her faculties. you say pathological liar, I’d love to know more… but I guess she is trying to cover her tracks… was any DNA found in the boot of the car, ie hair samples possibly belonging to Casey… (I am thinking that perhaps there was reasonable doubt in the jury’s decision.) any websites please let me know at
