Casey Anthony’s (ex) boyfriend Tony Lazaro – interview summary.

Here’s the interview— and here goes…
Tony gives them access to his phone – he took a pic of Caylee on 6/2/08 in the afternoon- I think this is the pool party at his apt complex we’ve heard mentioned.

When he came back from NYC- Casey had nightmares, and he would find her covered in sweat- she said it was in reference to their relationship. Evidently he’d been joking w/her about dumping her and/or staying in NY and getting a job for a while. He said he liked to push her buttons – which he said were easily pushed—so when he did that (talked about dumping her) she freaked out – very emotional- he could tell from her voice. So he woke up to her having these nightmares anywhere from 2-4 times since he got back in town (which was 7/5). Good- I’m glad she was having nightmares (I have too)! I wonder if she’s still having them? Or has she pushed it so far away?

He makes it sound like there was no issue over the relationship in jeopardy due to the child- he was just joking about moving on. But I do recall, I think it was his roommate who made it clear that there was at least some discussion that it was a bachelor pad, revolving door, 24/7 and not a good place for a toddler. This brings to mind the Diane Downs case– her kids were so inconvenient. 😦

Tony never heard her on the phone w/the (imaginary) nanny. Its hard to get imaginary people to call you. She had a special ring tone for Cindy (a rap song- ha! I wonder what that was?) and would ALWAYS go outside and take those calls in private. He would ask about Caylee and always get the Disney wkd pass, the at the beach w/the nanny…those type stories.

The week after they met (on 5/24)- he invited Casey over for a double date hang out w/his roommate Clint and girlfriend Maria. Casey couldn’t come – blamed Caylee not having fallen asleep yet- (said she was w/the nanny and kids- kinda convoluted story). But point is – Caylee was seemingly cramping her style w/new boyfriend. Not good.

He says he met Jesse at a party, Casey introduced him as a friend and he later found out that it was her ex-fiance. Lee implied it was typical behavior for her to have another relationship ‘at the ready’ before moving on and perhaps to overlap love interests and evidently she was keeping Jesse and maybe even Ricardo on the side for a bit—not to mention the marine in CA- over the phone. Busy girl. June 1st was the first time they were intimate and she didn’t stay the night bc her mommy wouldn’t let her. He comments about sex “picking up” each week. Caylee never stayed overnight but Casey was a ‘regular’ from around the time of the hip-hop showcase at Fusion which was 6/13. I don’t think she was actually a regular until after the huge fight that happened on Father’s Day 6/15 when supposedly neighbors heard them screaming and Cindy actually had her hands on Casey’s neck!

Tony went w/Casey to the Anthony house that week for gas– never went inside- didn’t know she was stealing it. On 6/11 or 12 Casey went in and changed Caylee before they went to Mall at Millenia where he passed out flyers for hip hop show, which was 6/13- he bought them dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. They also went there (Anthony home) on a different day (thinks it was the wk of 6/22-28) to get gas cans again—still didn’t know she stole it. I’m unclear of the dates here- this interviewer interrupts CONSTANTLY its extremely annoying- was he raised in a barn? That’s soo rude- I’m talking to you too Ms. Nancy Grace.

We know her car was found when manager arrived at Amscot 6/27 at 7AM. So she probably dropped that car off 6/26 – abandoning it obviously. That matched w/her coming home (surprised to find George there) on 6/24 and him busting her w/the gas cans. What was significant, to me, in the Lee intv was the revelation that Casey may have blocked George from car at all and handed him the cans before he would have even been close enough to smell anything—this is unverified bc George’s story differs- he says he got them himself…hmmm- who to believe? If you watch Greta On the Record interview w/the Anthony’s at home (link later) there’s something up when they’re talking about this and Cindy appears to coach him a bit and touches him – during this part- signaling him?? Who knows? So, yeah, whom to believe….I don’t like my options, sadly.

So when Tony picks her up at Amscott- she has items he said appeared to be from the Anthony home- grocery items in plastic bags. I don’t know how he knew they were from home? But its interesting to me that he said she had freezer pops and frozen chicken—like—you have to come get me I have frozen stuff! -and also like—see I have popsicles for you and I’ll cook you chicken and sleep w/you and do your laundry!– PLEASE come get me. He also says she didn’t want to “bother” him w/taking care of car w/gas and all that hassle- bc she knew he was busy w/school. So he said that she was already out of the car when he pulled up…OF COURSE she was, bc she was ditching that car -it was reeking of decomposition at the time and she didn’t want darling boyfriend near anything quite so distasteful. GRR!

Watching Nancy (from way up high on her soapbox) right now- ugh. She just mentioned- that most of Casey’s clothes were gone from the house but NONE of Caylee’s– no jammies, no clothes, no toys, NOTHING- not even the little doll that she never went anywhere w/out…the little doll she called mama. That makes me really sad. 😦 That doll was found in the car- unclothed- whatever that means, but in the car, w/Caylee’s carseat—in the car that Casey said smelled SO badly due to squirrels having crawled up in the engine and died or George having hit a squirrel which Casey later told Amy – and she’d found it plastered to the frame…both stories are Casey’s- take your pick. FIELD OF LIES – if you build it Casey, she won’t come home. This case makes me very ANGRY! I wonder if the family has read all of these statements? The power of self delusion is PHENOMENAL! My heart goes out to EVERYONE involved in this case—its just ugly everywhere. Let’s all send thoughts and prayers out that the TRUTH can come to light. Resolution please! Justice for Caylee please!!!

Interesting- Tony said Casey picked him up from the airport in his Jeep- she had washed it and pointed out the car wash on the way home. Did the police ever search his car? I’ve never heard they did.

So Tony’s just rolling along thinking everything’s great- this girl- though clingy– is clearly here to please until…. Amy puts the smack down on Casey and all hell breaks loose. Most of this is covered in the Lee summary but here’s what Tony had to say about D day- July 15th. He and his roommate are playing video games on the couch w/Casey – who is on her laptop—deleting her yahoo mail among other things no doubt—when there’s a knock on the door, they say come in, and in walks Amy.

He describes Amy as coming in and just standing there w/a “miserable face” …they were confused but Casey got right up and went outside w/her… only to be confronted w/an ENRAGED Cindy– surely that’s part of what Casey was waking up in cold sweats about. Good.

Anyway, the boys go back to video games– till Casey comes back in, Cindy tells her to get her stuff, Casey says no- I’m coming back. Tony, having never met Cindy before, invites her in and introduces himself. To which Cindy replies “Well, I hope you’re rich bc Casey will take all of your money and leave you high and dry!” Poor Tony- he’s thoroughly confused. Casey tells her mother to shut up and storms out the door.

So after they leave Tony tries to text Casey- but he hears her phone go off- she left it there. I’m sure she would like to have “left” it wherever she “left” that “blackjack” phone bc the tale of the changing phone numbers and the swapping of the sim cards is FLIMSY at best. Casey’s plan was not finished yet- she was not ready to launch into these lies- damn that Amy. I’m not sure now long she thought she had- idiot. Amy had just returned from vacation- how long did she think it would be before she discovered her “friend” Casey had robbed her blind??

Tony has not seen Casey since this date but there is some ambiguous mention in this interview about investigative leads that he agrees to cooperate w/LE about and they don’t want to discuss it on this tape! So I’m thinking he agreed to record phone conversations w/Casey- we all heard how desperate she was to talk to him that night from jail—“OMG calling you guys—a waste…huge waste” and “all anyone cares about is finding Caylee” – this is one scary individual. I wish they would release more- more- more!

I know hind sight is 20/20 but DAMN, I wish they had let her trap herself a little more. I’m worried about the forensics. I think Caylee may be in a landfill now- Casey seems to have gotten ever more confident that she won’t be found. Heartbreaking. The defense attorneys are gloom and doom- saying that the Orlando LE doesn’t have “the goods” on her- that the DNA is not going to hold up- too degenerated. Dear God, lets hope that’s not true!

Well that’s about it for Tony’s interview. I’m off to delve into the rest of the pages—so much information—so little satisfaction.

I have read, watched and listened to every detail related to this case. Yet, I still have yet to learn one thing…Where did Casey sleep (stay) on June 15th after the argument at home – 4937 Hopespring Drive? Where did she stay on the 16th and 17th? Was it with or without Caylee? I feel like it was one of these days that the proverbial thorn in Casey’s side (Caylee) was removed. Can anyone absolutely, positively say where she was on any of these days? Additionally, I believe Casey is once again psychologically manipulating Momma through the old “guilt trip” technique. Sad, indeed.

Tony claims to have not seen or heard from Casey since the altercation at his apt on July 15th. She left her phone at his house and he was unable to contact her.

Amy claims Tony said he received a a text message from Casey on the 16th prior to Casey’s arrest. She then claim that Tony said he spoke with her a little. This is completely different than what Tony had stated a day earlier.

How did Casey get her phone? I see the the Detectives ask the same question, but I do not see a follow up with Tony regarding the text message or contact with Casey on the date of the arrest. Did they follow up on this?

During Casey’s phone call home she repeatedly asks to speak with Tony, with no concern for her daughter, only to speak with Tony. This kid knows something. It is becoming quite obvious.

So did Casey first call Jesse to pick her up at the Amscot but he couldn’t so then she called Tony, and he ended up picking her up? How long did she wait for a ride there? So she for sure didn’t want him near the car huh? Waiting for him outside, and saying that she didn’t want to inconvenience his time type thing.

On another note I thought it was kind of strange that Tony said she had his car washed also. They checked out the car wash huh? Was his jeep green? Did the neighbor she borrowed the shovel from mention possibly seeing a green truck type or SUV?

So I guess she used that shovel to bust open the shed with the gas cans huh? Yeah I wonder also if they asked any friends about places they may have gone to hang out like in the outdoors by the airport type areas.

I have just started following this case . Can someone help me please. Caylee appears to have gone missing sometime after the 16th. During this time Casey was staying with Tony and his flatmate. What is Tony saying about what happened with her over this week? What was her demeanor? I cant imagine that it would be possible to kill your child and act as if everything was OK. You would expect their to be emotional upheaval during this time. What is Tony saying about her behaviour?
I can only see where he talks about her having nightmares in early July.
    Have I missed something??????
Can someone fill in the gaps for me please?

Hey- Jellybean, I think Casey- just completely blocked it out of her mind and moved on. She always said the baby was w/the nanny- and went out and partied. Her parents were, for the first time, trying to make Casey take some responsibility and they were going to kick Casey out and try to take custody of Caylee. I think Casey rebelled and either killed Caylee out of rage and spite or neglected her in a manner that led to Caylee’s death. They just indicted her- its a capital charge. I guess there will be some resolution soon. Its just so sad!

I personally have a feeling that this was not meditated. I think that something happened in that car to Caylee. I think she died in the car and Casey dropped her in some water somewhere. I am not for sure where. I can’t tell you why I think this,… but I fear sooo bad that the little girl is in water some where. I don’t think they are going to find her. -I also think that some man helped her get rid of the body of her daughter. -Just some thoughts. Maybe someone will check around and start searching in these places. Hmmm.

I believe that if Casey Anthony did this she did not act alone. So many people have rushed to judgment about this 22 year old mother. PEOPLE- IN THE US YOU ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY BY A JURY OF YOUR PEERS. YES, you may have your own take on the case but she has only been indicted, NOT convicted. Yes, she may of been a poor mother, liar, etc but that does not make one a MURDERER- THERE’S A DIFFERENCE!
I believe that if Casey did this it was some sort of an accident because she was known to be neglectful and she panicked after it happened and tried to cover it up because she knew she would be blamed. It is also possible that she did drop Caylee off at SawGrass apartment, but dropped her off with the intention of just leaving her there. I do not think Casey ‘maliciously’ killed her daughter.
    Here are the reasons:
    1) she was way too flightly and scatter brained from what we know, she needed help/attention on what seems like a daily basis
    2) Casey, including her parents (namely her mother) appear to know more than what they are letting on
    3) from all the evidence I have perused, Casey did seem to love her daughter and all of her friends and family attested to that as well as saying that they did not think she could pull this off
    4) some people say that maybe she wanted attention. if that were the case, would she not have evidence of Munchausen syndrome which is the ultimate attention getter and could lead to the childs death? even the grandmother said “there was never any sign of abuse”
    5) this case has not focused ENOUGH on other possible suspects- there is infact a Zenaida Gonzalez who was at Sawgrass Apartments. doesn’t that seem very coincidental?
also, what about the REAL father? you never hear anything about him or any other enemies which Casey may have. she knew a lot of people.
I am not satisfied that Tony had no role in this?
EVERYONE interviewed said that Casey felt most comfortable with Tony and called him about anything…

I am not sure if you are ever going to read this, but I can’t help replying to your comment. I have just stumbled upon this right after the verdict from the jurors of Casey’s not guilty plea. You have definitely asked some very good questions in this comment, and the one that I like most is how you feel that there is a good possibility that 1) this was an accident and it went awry, and 2) Someone else was involved in the cover-up or could have been a part of it. What made me come across this comment is the fact that I am interested in knowing more about this Tony person. For some reason I have a vibe there is more to the story there. I don’t know, but he could. As of today, a few years later, Casey is not guilty and will soon be a free woman once she serves whatever sentence for the obstruction of justice charges. I want there to be justice for Caylee. I feel there is a huge piece to this puzzle missing. Perhaps that’s Tony or her father. We may never know.

We will never know because those involved have made some kind of sick pact not to speak the truth. Michelle, I am also interested to know more about this Tony person; as he seems not to be really mentioned much. I mean how much was he investigated as to his whereabouts during the time Caylee was “missing”. He seemed to say Casey was at his apartment but not with Caylee. Meanwhile she’s apparently telling her family that Caylee is with “Zanny the nanny”. Yet her parents did not know of any nanny, DUH she lived at home, why would she have a nanny? Nobody questions that. There are many holes in this whole case.

Hey Alissa- who do you think helped Casey? I agree she’s not a convicted murderer yet but the body that was in her trunk is doing some serious finger pointing! Who do you think was in her trunk?
I think we mostly agree but I will number up w/you! 😉
1- I too believe it was an accident and your point about her being scatter brained was definitely proven by her telling that wacked out story to LE to cover up whatever happened to Caylee.
2- I’m still not willing to admit that they did any covering up though Lee has sure brought the spotlight on him by refusing DNA and a polygraph.
3- I think Casey did love Caylee but she loved herself MUCH MUCH more and she loved her freedom and Caylee was a serious impediment to that. Becoming much more vocal lately- ready to be able to tattle- Casey likes to spin lies and little kids like to tell it like it is.
4-Munchausen is rare and real specific- those mothers like to have a different type of attention that what fuels Casey. They like sympathy and to play the hero that’s not Casey’s style. Caylee was actually STEALING attention from Casey and potentially becoming a source of negative attention- why did you bring you baby to this adult party? and we don’t really want to party in Puerto Rico w/a toddler etc.
5- Zenaida was carefully investigated by LE and she has a VERY good case to go after Casey for dragging her name into the mud.

The real father may remain forever a mystery and Casey may not know herself. It seems like she plays it pretty fast and loose as to the men in her life. Maybe she didn’t really know the man and could never admit to Cindy that she had a one night stand. Remember poor Cindy thought Casey was a virgin till she was smacked in the face w/Casey’s 7 months pregnant belly.

It seems as if this whole family would stride confidently down the hall towards their nonexistent office at Universal – they don’t back down until absolutely FORCED to.

Hey worried mother– water is highly likely- there’s much of it around here and they say that’s what mom’s like to do when they murder- like returning them to a womb like state or some such nonsense. I’m not sure about the accomplice– Who do you think it was?

Ok so why did she leave her purse in the abandonned vehicle? Tony said she was already outside waiting for him when he pulled up to the corner to pick her up. So maybe she would have grabbed it but didn’t want Tony to get out and take a look at the car. Maybe she didn’t want him to realize it was only out of gas since later she told him that her dad took it to mechanic or dealer to be fixed. So maybe she thought oh well too late to grab my purse now that Tony was already there so she could be quick about getting in his car, and thought she could go back anyway after the car sat a while. Maybe she thought it would air out during the time she left it there. Or I guess she could have even been in such a hurry that she didn’t even realize her purse was still inside. So the week Tony was gone in NY, and her car was sitting in the parking lot was this the week she asked Amy to buy her a gas can? Had she already given her father’s gas can(s) back to him? Then was her car already gone? Been towed? Did her parents receive the letter regarding the car the following week, and had the car already been impounded for some days when they finally got the letter?

The mystery purse in car at amscot,

remember her I.D. was in the wallet Lee picked up, do you think leaving the car seat, the doll, and the purse was an attempt to imply that both she and Caylee were abducted ? Or killed and bodies removed, even Cindy said it,, a woman always knows where her purse is.
It’s obvious Casey isn’t your typical woman, and if she can’t be trusted to follow the woman/purse rule, how can we think she can know where the heck the little snothead got off too,, Zani ?? I thought you had her.
OH YEAH… this bugs the crap out of me,
in her 4 page statement day 1 ,, she says she dropped Caylee off between 9 am and 1 pm,,
then went to work, (oddly the hours Tony was in school ) but a 4 hour gap,, must have left plenty of time in case traffic was bad.,
I remember Jesse saying she believes her lies and makes a new reality, but what i dont get,
if she believed that she worked at universal, and drops off the kid, did she always get to the same point in the hallway before realizing
oh yeah ,, i don’t really have an office here, like the movie groundhog”s day 🙂 reliving it over and over,
Was she simply going back home after leaving and pretending to go to work, or was she hanging out at friends like Lauren Gibbs said she did when she “:cough” worked at Sports Authority. maybe i have missed that part of a time line, but I havent seen anyone saying ,, yeah she said she was at work at universal,, but she would show up at my door and hang out for hours. And did she have Caylee with her, I still can’t believe what a good mom she was,, make up a job and let Lauren deal with dirty diapers and teething.
If she could stay gone til about time for Cindy to come home,, heck she would have over 3/4 of the day free of her baby,. And we know what free is,, right Lauren?

I do think she did it. The car at Amscot was left with her purse in it hoping some poor thief would make off with the car, the purse and get nailed for the kidnapping/death of Caylee. That did not happen, unfortunately for Casey. She killed the child for the following reasons: 1. She had to be the center of love/attention and Caylee was competition. 2. Caylee was a daily burden. 3. She had deep emotional and psychological struggles with Cindy, sort of love/hate. 4. Poor Caylee resembled Cindy more than Casey. 5. Parents refused to support her anymore financially so she had to go man-fishing. A child is not exactly man-bait. Casey was pissed at Cindy and just cracked and killed the child. Done, gone, forgotten, grandma can’t have her, ha ha ha. Ooops, party days over!

I too have no doubt Casey is guilty of murdering Caylee. I dont think it was pre meditated. I think it was spurned on by anger at the argument with her mom, Cindy. The duct tape over the mouth though, that does show ill intent….

If it was Caysey’s purse, why were Amy’s resumes in the purse? There is a possibility she was considering framing Amy for the crime. I think it was Amy’s purse, I read somewhere Amy saying something about like,, that’s whaat I get for letting you borrow or take my purse.

Everyone seems to feel that there was never a “Nanny” – not necessarily a Zanny the nanny, but any Nanny… what so ever.

So, where was Caylee Anthony on June 13, 2008 late at night?

Timelines (and police documents) show that George and Cindy Anthony stated that NEITHER Casey or Caylee stayed at their home that evening (June 13, 2008).

In police documents and time lines Anthony Lazarro states Casey spent the night June 13, 2008 – after the fusion party. He states baby Caylee did NOT spend the night. This was the first night Casey and Anthony Lazarro spent the night together alone. In his statement, he told investigators that “Caylee was with the NANNY”.

Because of the very popular date and time stamped photo/vedio of little Caylee singing at the nursing home on June 15th, 2008 while visiting her great-grandfather on Father’s Day – we all know she was very much alive on June 13th, 2008…if still alive on June 15th, 2008..

So, if Casey didn’t have a nanny – then who do you suppose was babysitting her (Caylee) the night of June 13th, 2008?

Christine Chester (who claims to be Casey’s best friend) tells investigators that she went for a walk with Casey and Caylee in the park on or around June 12th, 2008 or June 13th, 2008. She does not say anything about babysitting.

Does anyone know who babysat Caylee on June 13th, 2008?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That’s a great question ML, unfortunately we will not ever have an answer. I mean she lived with her parents and they didn’t know of a nanny. A relative of mine suggested that Casey routinely drugged Caylee and left her in the trunk of the car, I don’t know about that but it is something to ponder.

Bottom line… my theory? Zanny the nanny was “the drug Zanex-“- She gave her daughter this to keep her quiet as she slept. After seeing how well it worked – I beleive that she gave it to her quite a bit. Once she realized that she wouldn’;t feel a thing if she died…she started to plot her murder.

She also has a totally controlling mother who created this monster. A mother who can’t see what is her business and what is not. A mother who finds fault in everyone to make sure that her daughter is stuck by her side… she too– very very sick.

This girl is very very sick and her parents are one to have enabled her all her life. She truly believed that she could get away with all this.

She will be judged in the end when she mets her maker

George was always more caring and emotional than Cindy.Cindy taught Casey how to lie and controll others.I have seen these kind of mothers in action,it starts with fibbing letting a child get away with maybe fibbing to the child’s friends, making up a fantasy land to get out of sitiations. An ex friends mother would make up stories about going on a vacation but someone would find her home at her house.Isn’t it much easier to tell the truth! These kind of parents create a moral vaccum.Casey could have had a great life with Jesse but instead she is with
people that lack responsibilty as much as she does. She is a pleasure seeker without any maturity.Tony likes to have fun too,so they both become oblivious to Caylee’s needs.

Casey video tapes Caylee without talking.Maybe she did all the video taping because she knew she was going to kill her long in advance.

The way in which Caylee was treated by both Casey and Tony is heartbreaking. The cell phone photo of Caylee is disturbing because Caylee looks afraid and sad.Nobody is caring for her,Casey didn’t bring her clothing, nothing.I wonder how often Caylee may have been verbally abused or even physically.Caylee was nothing but a burden to Casey, something to hate because it took disapline to care for Caylee which Casey had none of.I don’t believe Caylee was killed by accident,I believe she was duct taped in order to kill her emmediately.Caylee’s little body tossed out like it’s garbage.Casey knew what would happen to the little fragile body over time, she wanted it to happen. Her little body out there for animals to ravage. It’s so heartbreaking,it’s so hard to understand how a mother could be so cruel.

I just don’t understand why Casey didn’t give the baby up for adoption if she didn’t want to be a mother. There are so many people who can’t have babies that would have cherished her. I agree she was tossed out like garbage and Casey should have been punished for that.

I am curious to know where you get your information from. It is more than the average person can pick off of another site. The AL interview appears detailed about the timeline and his personal information.

If you are good about getting detailed information, put more stuff on your blog site.

If she was to Scatter brained. To young??? How could she be with Tony hving a good time. Ignoring her Mother? She had a reason. And caylee wasn’t with her. Wasn’t she suppose to be traveling with Amy along with Caylee? Caylee may have been chloraform or drowned ( by mom) and then duct taped ( three times. ) Places in the Blanket and put in the Laundry Bag. Then in Plastic bags. She told her Mom she was Traveling with She had some time to be With Tony.. But time was Running out. Amy got home.No Zenida… To others Mom Was Zenieda. Maybe. Shes a liar. She probably wanted a new Hubby. A boyfriend. She found the wrong ones. Caylee was in the Way..

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting!! Now, Casey will get rich from movie and book deals and live the life she always wanted….and all because she killed her child! Our legal system is supposed to be the best in the world. What happened to justice for Caylee??
