Caylee Anthony “Tribute” doll- sold for profit.

Jacksonville Co. calls it a tribute doll.

Showbiz Promotions, located in Jacksonville, FL will begin selling the doll Tuesday. The company calls it the “Inspirational Caylee Sunshine Doll” and will sell it for $29.99. The doll will have a shirt on that says “Caylee Sunshine” and will play the song “You Are My Sunshine” when you push her belly button. Here’s the story in the Orlando Sentinel.

Jaime Salcedo, president of Showbiz Promotions has said that they are selling the doll to bring awareness to Caylee’s case and some of the proceeds will be donated to charity. Evidently the “awareness” and the profit are the priority here because it has not yet been determined how much of the proceeds will be donated to charity much less to which charity. They are also selling bracelets, t-shirts and stickers w/the murdered toddler’s name. Does Caylee’s case need this type of awareness?

Salcedo said that he’s expecting to take some criticism for his apparent attempt to profit from Caylee’s death but says he wants the doll to be a tribute to Caylee. The doll will have blond hair and blue eyes bc to make it actually look like Caylee would be “morbid” – according to Salcedo. Whoa, I hardly know what to say.

George Anthony still needs our thoughts and prayers. Even though eligible for release today, as the Baker Act expired, doctor’s determined that he was not ready. 😦

Make Jaime Salcedo VooDoo dolls….fair’s fair, he should understand marketing to make a buck.

They could be sold and proceeds go to charity.

Come to think of it, Casey Anthony voodoo dolls, Baez boohoo dolls (his could cry ..about anything concerning him), etc. So we can stick pins in them and curse them as we do it. Just to make us feel better about the crap they have put everyone through.

I find this discusting and morbid…What kind of person would even think to do such a terrible thing as this…AND what person would even buy that doll…I think this just awful,,,Money is the root of all evil they say, well this to me is prove of it..Its the lowest thing I have ever heard..A child has been murdered and these people are out to make money off something so distasteful and out of line as this. There needs to be laws against profitting off a childs murder..This just totally discusted me..
